“One area of our life that we feel led to serve God is within the younger generation. For myself, growing up as an athlete was awesome. However, I came to realize that my whole life revolved around sports and that my identity had become solely rooted in who I was as a player. As I look back at my life and my career, I am incredibly grateful for all that God has blessed me with. I was fortunate to be apart of two incredible bible studies while at The University of Georgia that really helped me to see that life was more than just sports.

As I have gotten older, it has become clear to me that I want to do whatever I can to help younger athletes find their identity in Christ. Had I not been to those bible studies, surrounded by people whose identity was solely rooted in Christ, I may not have become curious as to what a life like that looked like. When I reached the NFL, my identity was still not completely in Christ. I wanted it to be, but it was a battle I still really struggled with. Thankfully, God placed me in the city of Tampa, Florida, where one of my teammates truly embodied what it looked like to be totally surrendered to Christ and where his identity was rooted deep in truth.

Because of the people I have been surrounded with, I have a completely new perspective on what life looks like when you live out of an identity in Christ. Here we are today, trying to do the same thing that played such a large role in my life, bringing together leaders in the faith to serve a younger generation, to show that there is more to life than an Identity rooted in things that will fade away one day.”

Jarryd Wallace

Jarryd Wallace is an American Paralympic track and field athlete who has represented the United States at four Paralympic Games and earned multiple medals and world championship titles in sprinting and long jump. A native of Athens, Georgia, he competed as an accomplished runner in high school and earned a track scholarship to the University of Georgia before complications from compartment syndrome led to the amputation of his right leg below the knee.

Less than 18 months after his amputation, Wallace returned to elite competition, winning gold at international para athletics events and setting world-class marks. He went on to win bronze medals at the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Paralympic Games and continues to compete at the highest level in sprint and long jump events.

Off the track, Wallace is passionate about mentoring high school and college men, helping them navigate the chaos and distractions of life while pointing them toward the truth of Jesus. He is known for his work with amputee and adaptive-sports communities, including founding initiatives to support prosthetic innovation and access. Wallace also shares his story in ways that invite people to reflect on resilience, purpose, and perspective.

At the Who Am I Ministries Retreat, Jarryd will bring his experiences to a conversation rooted in the retreat’s message, exploring truth about identity, worth, and how understanding who we are in Christ shapes how we see ourselves and live our lives.

  • Ryan Succup

    CAMP LEADER

    Ryan Succop is a former NFL placekicker who played 14 seasons in the league after being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2009 with the final pick of the draft (“Mr. Irrelevant”). Born in Hickory, North Carolina, he played college football at the University of South Carolina before going on to kick for the Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Succop won Super Bowl LV with Tampa Bay and built a reputation as a reliable veteran kicker, finishing his career with over 1,400 points scored.

  • Evan McPherson

    CAMP LEADER

    Evan McPherson is an NFL placekicker for the Cincinnati Bengals, selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft after playing college football at the University of Florida. Born in Fort Payne, Alabama, he quickly established himself as one of the league’s top young kickers, earning PFWA All-Rookie honors and playing a key role in Cincinnati’s run to Super Bowl LVI with multiple clutch postseason kicks. Known for his long-range accuracy, McPherson holds several team records from 50+ yards and has been perfect on field goals in postseason play early in his career

  • Matt Overton

    CAMP LEADER

    Matt Overton is an NFL long snapper who entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2007 after playing college football at Western Washington. Born in San Leandro, California, he built a lengthy professional career across multiple teams including the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Miami Dolphins. Overton earned Pro Bowl honors in 2013 with Indianapolis and has appeared in more than 140 career games, establishing himself as a reliable veteran specialist on special teams units

  • Chase McLaughlin

    CAMP LEADER

    Chase McLaughlin is an NFL placekicker currently playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after entering the league in 2019 following his college career at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Born in Cypress, Texas, he has played for multiple teams across the National Football League, including the Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and Indianapolis Colts. McLaughlin established himself as a dependable veteran kicker, contributing to Tampa Bay’s special teams unit with strong accuracy and range while building a reputation for reliability throughout his professional career.

  • Josh Imatorbhebhe

    CAMP LEADER

    Josh Imatorbhebhe is a former NFL wide receiver celebrated for his rare combination of size, speed, and explosiveness. Born in Corona, California, he played at the University of Illinois after transferring from the University of South Florida, finishing tied for seventh in school history in career receiving touchdowns. Known for his jaw-dropping athleticism, Imatorbhebhe recorded a 46.5-inch vertical leap at his NFL pro day, ranking among the highest ever measured. He briefly pursued a professional career with the Jacksonville Jaguars before retiring from football and moving into pursuits off the field.

  • Ty Long

    CAMP LEADER

    Ty Long is a former NFL punter and placekicker who played college football at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before beginning his career in the Canadian Football League. Born in Roswell, Georgia, he earned CFL All-Star recognition with the BC Lions before joining the Los Angeles Chargers in 2019. Long appeared in multiple seasons with the Chargers, handling punting and kickoff duties, and built a reputation as a versatile special teams contributor with strong leg strength and consistency at the professional level.

  • Anders Carlson

    CAMP LEADER

    Anders Carlson is an NFL placekicker who entered the league after being selected by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Auburn University. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he played college football at Auburn and has since spent time with the Packers, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets, connecting on multiple field goals including long attempts beyond 50 yards. Known for his strong leg and scoring ability, Carlson has worked to establish himself as a reliable scoring option at the professional level, making key kicks and gaining experience across several franchises.

  • Scott Daly

    CAMP LEADER

    Scott Daly is an NFL long snapper for the Chicago Bears who played college football at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before entering the professional ranks as an undrafted free agent. Born in Downers Grove, Illinois, he spent several seasons with the Detroit Lions before joining Chicago, where he has handled long snapping duties across multiple seasons. Daly has built a reputation as a steady and dependable specialist, contributing consistency and precision to his team’s special teams unit at the professional level.

    Nathan Carter is an NFL running back who signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 NFL Draft following a productive college career. Born in Rochester, New York, he played college football at the University of Connecticut before transferring to Michigan State University, where he became a key contributor with multiple 100‑yard rushing games and earned recognition for his versatility and work ethic.   • Kaimon Rucker

    Kaimon Rucker is an NFL linebacker who signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft after a standout college career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Born in Hartwell, Georgia, he played five seasons for the Tar Heels, earning second‑team All‑ACC honors in 2023 by posting 61 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 15 tackles for loss and finishing his collegiate career with 180 tackles and 22 sacks. Known for his dynamic pass‑rushing ability and leadership on and off the field, Rucker has worked to establish himself as a promising young defender at the professional level.

    Cam Little is an NFL placekicker for the Jacksonville Jaguars who played college football at the Arkansas Razorbacks before entering the professional ranks. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he built a strong reputation in college as a dependable scoring option, earning recognition for his consistency and range as one of the top specialists in the SEC. Little transitioned to the professional level with a polished approach to the position, bringing accuracy, leg strength, and composure under pressure to his team’s special teams unit.

  • Will Shipley

    Will Shipley is an NFL running back for the Philadelphia Eagles who entered the league after being selected in the 2024 NFL Draft following a standout college career at Clemson University. Born in Weddington, North Carolina, Shipley became one of Clemson’s most productive offensive players, contributing as both a rusher and receiver while earning All-ACC honors during his career. Known for his versatility, quickness, and ability to impact the game in multiple ways, Shipley has worked to establish himself as a dynamic offensive weapon at the professional level.

  • Julian Ashby

    CAMP LEADER

    Julian Ashby is an NFL long snapper for the New England Patriots who entered the league after being selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Vanderbilt University. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he played college football for the Furman Paladins before transferring to Vanderbilt, where he earned accolades including Academic All‑America honors and was a semifinalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award. Known for his consistency and precision on special teams, Ashby handled long snapping duties throughout his collegiate career and quickly became a reliable contributor for his team.
